I learned Vedic Meditation in January 2014. While I practiced another style of meditation for several years prior, it wasn’t until I learned Vedic Meditation that I fully understood, and experienced for myself, the true value. A close friend introduced me to Vedic Meditation and I witnessed her enjoying her practice and observed her undeniable radiance and ease. Inspired by her example, I decided to learn from her teacher and upgrade my old style of meditating. By upgrading to Vedic Meditation, I upgraded every aspect of my life. It was the “aha” experience and practice I longed for, and it was only the beginning. I felt benefits from my very first meditations (calmness, clarity, no-thinking, more energy, adaptability, patience, compassion), and as the years passed the benefits increased exponentially.

Since learning Vedic Meditation, I’ve spent thousands of hours studying with predominant Vedic masters. Why? It was so deeply resonant and fun, I couldn’t stop! I learned from incredible teachers, bright shiny humans embodying how I wanted to be: light, infinitely adaptable, strong, wise, full of laughter, generous and joyful. Each teacher was wonderfully unique, relatable and living in the world. No caves for me! Like those I learned from, I eventually made a pilgrimage to India. At the foothills of the Himalayas, I completed the rigorous 3-month Vedic Meditation Teacher Training program led by my teacher, Thom Knoles, the world’s most renowned expert on Vedic Meditation.
